  • Passed my details to many 3rd party companies... Beware!
I don't have any major complaints about the initial installation/customer service... It was the usual things, fairly slow, poor communication, but nothing ridiculous. The main reason for this review is because Love Digital TV passed my details - address and telephone number to many 3rd party companies who have bombarded me with nuisance calls, advertisements and even scamming letters in the post. This is, quite frankly, a disgrace. I have signed up to the TPS (Telephone Preference Service), yet I still get calls from foreign companies trying to sell me things, and only yesterday I received a scam letter telling me I had won the Spanish lottery and just needed to send my bank account details back! Now, you might ask, how do I know it's Love Digital TV passing my details on. And the reason I am 100% sure is because when I first signed up with them, they got my name wrong and on the first few bills printed my first initial, followed by my first name as my surname... Following this, all calls and letters are for a person of this name... i.e. the incorrect name. When you sign up, make sure you insist on not having your details passed on - this has been a nightmare! Thanks

  • Good service here
I'd read the reviews on here before going to Love Digital so it filled me with a bit of dread, but as the only option in my flat, and my need for F1 I thought I'd give them a go. I gave them a call, had a very helpful guy on the phone (Alex I believe his name was) and received my Sky card two days later. On the day of the install, I got a call, admittedly a bit early at 7:40am and the install was completed by 10am. I thought I'd share my experience as I fell too often negative reports are more common than positive ones. A+ from me.

my sky box kept freezing when trying to record programmes or partly recorded programmes. I phoned Love Digital 3 times over the last two days without getting anything solved!frustrating!!! As I have a communal dish they said that the fault was with my dish and I have to callout my Housing association engineer, which I did. He said everything was perfect with the signal and it had to be the box which is the problem. I called up loveDigital and told them that it was the box that is the problem and they had to send out an engneer and that I was fed up of calling them continuously. They said they will send out an engineer to look at the box and try fix it. My problem was what if they cant fix the box then do i have to wait again for them to make another appointment and bring another box? Apparently they have to come and see the box and try fix it first before they take a box out! I had already had a whole week of not being able to record and watch programmes (a service which I am paying for but not getting at the momnent) when asked whether they will reimburse me for it the lady said they couldnt....so why was I paying?!!!!! anyway I have to now wait 4 days till an engineer comes to check the box and miss out on any programmes i want to record which is annoying especially when you have children in the house that want to wacth their cartoons! I am so annoyed at the poor service received from LoveDigital and thus Sky (as I joined them and in turn have to deal with Live digital myself now)

  • RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!!
Got a phone call this morning from the engineer, he didnt even bother saying hello. He just asked "Do you have your viewing card?". I said no I did not receive one yet but I called SKY and they said you would be able to install the dish and I can activate SKY once I got the viewing card. He then started crapping me out saying why did I call sky, I should have called lovedigital, plus they will have to charge me £250 for installation without the viewing card and I must then get SKY to refund me. I refused to do that therfore engineer said he wont install the dish. About 3 hours later I received the viewing card in the post. Called the engineer to let him know I got the viewing card, had to call about 5 times so he could pick it up. Once he answered and I told him I got the card he again was rude on the phone and said no he wont install it as I must call customer service and hung up the phone. I have decided im going to cancel sky and thats its. Virgin Media all the way!!!!!

  • Love Digital is a DISGRACE!
I am over 6 weeks from the date I was first to receive Sky - to be installed by Love Digital. I still don't have it and it looks like it will be several weeks before I get it. Love Digital assured me they knew my building (I had just moved in) and that they had done a number of installations. On that basis, I chose Sky over BT which was already set up. Love Digital then send out the wrong engineers twice (they need the special heights team, which they should have know been "experts" in the building) and then when they finally sent the right team they worked out that they did in fact need roof access through another apartment (they had told me that they didn't need this) - and my neighbours weren't available. Every time they screw up, it is at least a week to get it re-booked (usually longer) as they are clearly busy screwing up other jobs... so finally I have a time for them to come this Sunday (a public holiday) - time is agreed with Love Digital and with neighbours. I have just had a call from them cancelling as they can't get to my apartment apparently due to the Notting Hill Carnival... But I live near Marble arch - 2 tube stops from even the extended notting hill carnival zone! It iss basically a total lie, as has been everything I have heard from them. The women who man the phones are also so rude, disinterested and provide such appalling customer service. They really couldn't care. Not sure who runs Love Digital, but if they have any interest in the longevity of the business they should put a broom through the place, and should start by firing all of their "customer service" team. Sky, shame on you for allowing such a shoddy outfit operate as your agent. What an embarrassment. If Virgin was in the area, I would cancel sky and go with them. I never had any issue with Virgin in 4 years

  • Misleading sales - deleting info off system - not following through
I signed up for the 3 in 1 package and was quoted an amount over the phone which I agreed to. Love Digital installed the sky box, and then proceeded to delete the information off the system for the phone and broadband, without notifying me of any of it. After much deliberation, and requesting the recording of the call to be listened to, they called back to say I was quoted an amount for all 3 services and was entitled to get it. 2 days later I had a call saying it was now not available in the area, and I would have to pay an extra £17 a month to get the additional broadband and phone. No one called at the start if this was the case to check I still wanted the TV if the fee for all was to go up, instead it simply disappeared off the system. Needless to say I am still waiting for a manger to call back. The sales staff are reasonably polite however this does not make up for the utterly appalling service! I would not recommend Love Digital to anyone.

  • Whoever designed their customer service is someone who hates humanity very much and is on a mission to destroy it one heart attack at a time. At each opportunity, Love Digital lied to me about what's going, gave me false info about the times and dates of the installation, and then of course refused to even acknowledge that they're doing something wrong. Thanks to the Love Digital "service", I am having to rearrange my whole day because I don't know when the engineer is coming to do the installation. Who knows what that will dredge up. This of course is after easily more than 15 hours on the phone to get to this stage. Sky would do very well to stop dealing with them.

  • Won't replace device, infuriating service
After several months of buck passing, Love Digital now refuses to replace a faulty set top box despite the fault being reported (several times!) during the period covered by warranty. The best they will do is send someone around (at my expense) who will replace it with a refurbished box (they've tried this already - it made no difference.) Sky have told us they won't do anything because our warantee is with Love Digital. We will cancel our subscription and Sky will lose a customer because of their poor choice of installers. (NB. The job date I gave is for the most recent visit.)

  • Poor customer service
We ordered Sky 2 weeks ago and we were directed to Love Digital for installation. Yesterday we had to call them because we still didn't receive the Sky card, even thought Sky said it's possible to do the installation, Love Digital's customer service person kept saying no, kept yawning as if we were keeping him up, and kept giggling with his colleagues. Today still no card and had to cancel the installation because the Love Digital engineer said he can't install without the card... on the other hand, their customer service said he could if we would buy a temporary card. We ended up cancelling all together. Poor communication between Sky and Love Digital, poor customer service on Love Digital's side, and poor trained engineers on Love Digital's side. Maybe Sky should do the installations themselves... because of the blunder they lost a customer and we moved to Virgin Media instead.
