After suffering at the hands of poor tradesman for far to long it was a breath of fresh air to find a tiler like John. He fixed the bad tiling which preceded him and masterfully mitred my new high end tiles to create a beautiful walk in shower. Reliable. trustowrthy and professional. Highly recommend.

After being let down by by another tiler, I approached Tilbury Tiles (Thurrock) where they recommended John. John came round and gave me a price for the work and a date when was convenient to start. John was recommended to me and now I’m recommending him to you! John did a great job and with attention to detail from start to finish. My bathroom project revealed extra work such as the need to re-board walls that were water damaged, John dealt with this in his own stride and I had nothing to worry about. John also recalculated my tile estimates and corrected me in good time so that we didn’t run out of tiles. John suggested additions at no cost to me such as an inner shelf (built into wall) for storing bathroom products whilst showering - all the kitchen shops had missed this trick! I’m really pleased with the finished article; tiling is level despite my Victorian property lacking true right angles! John did a fantastic job of the porcelain and glass mosaic tiles. Also, I would like to add that John is friendly, positive, and happy chap who I was happy to leave unsupervised with a key for my home. Book him quick!

John came to us as a recommendation from World's End Tiles having recently returned from Australia and so was thankfully available. Great for us as other tilers weren't available for six to eight weeks, and following a recent flood we were desperate to get the place straight. I'm sure now that people know he's back in the country we won't get him as quickly again! He did a fabulous job tiling our en suite bathroom, in fact we got him to do the kitchen at the same time as he did such a great job. Just need to let the dust settle before getting him back to do the second bathroom (which obviously now look awful in comparison). Good worker - doesn't smoke, drink tea or coffee so works through without breaks. Highly recommended!

Having had some disasters with other tilers (not turning up, trying to make the job bigger than we wanted), John was a breath of fresh air, arriving on time, keeping in touch even before we'd taken him on (so we knew when it looked like we wouldn't be able to get the time slot we wanted - though we did in the end!), using his common sense to make sure that when doing the job he didn't ask unnecessary questions, and getting the tiling done in the time he'd said and at the agreed price. John was also really helpful at offering advice on some of the details where our ideas weren't as sensible as others he could make. We were really pleased with the work John did in our bathrooms and hope he will be available to do our kitchen in a few months.

I highly recommend John Simons. John re-tiled our kitchen floor in Aug 2007 and the results are fantastic. We used 300 x 300 mm polished porcelain so you can really see how level he got the floor, even though the underlying concrete was rough, with lots of immovable old tile cement. John arrived bright and early on the day we have agreed a couple of months in advance and left no mess at all. i've done/am doing lots of works to my home... including having some old tile work fixed (including replacing a couple of broken tiles at the foot of a staircase where everyone would land heavily)... john did a great job... John installed glass wall tiles and ceramic floor tiles in our kitchen and bathroom. The quality of the finishes were excellent. I would highly recommend John to any prospective Client or Householder.

John Simons tiled our wet room and kitchen floor. The wet room was complicated because it was Bisazza glass mosaics with lots of cuts for taps/jets/etc. The result is absolutely stunning. John also laid 500 x 500 porcelaine tiles throughtout our kitchen extension and they are perfect. I thoroughly recommend John ... and it's not often I say that because I'm a bit of a perfectionist.

I worked with John on a feature at the Ideal Home Show tiling two complete bathrooms, one in travertine and one in mosaic tiles, both of which looked great. I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.
