  • Excellent website but very bad quality floors
    Let's start with the positive, the website is very user friendly and the price on the website is very good. Moreover, the customer service is very efficient and there is always someone answering the phone or email. However, the quality of the flooring I ordered (Natura Brooklyn Engineered oak floor) is shocking. About 30% of the floorboards do not have a perfect square edge on them. When my fitter laid them, a big gap will appear towards the end of the room. He had to dismantle the whole thing and try again, physically measured every floorboard with a protractor to make sure all the edges are square. He ended up having to open twice the amount of boxes and use twice the time to finish one room. However, flooring supplies refused to take any unopened floor back without charging a 20% surcharge. i have now referred to whole matter to my solicitors. Beware if you intend to order from flooring supplies.

  • Not What It Says On The Tin !
    Ordered a sample of Oak Brooklyn Flooring, sample was a nice quality, so placed an order for 17 boxes. They could not detail the delivery 9.30 to 5.30 unless I paid extra so redirected the delivery to home. When it arrived the carrier told me that 3 boxes were damaged, and signed detailing that infomation. Phoned them & was asked to open the boxes to see how many were actually damaged & then email them the details. This was done advising I needed 2 boxes,requesting a call on the next day. No call came so I rang them, to be told they would phone me back within 2 hours. On the Third day I rang them again, as no call back had been received. They now want photograghs of the damage ! I paid for 17 good boxes, so I want 17 good boxes, can you not just exchange the two boxes that are damaged, No we will phne you back.... Whilst waiting I should point out that what was sent was nowhere near the quality of the sample, I am now considering a Credit card chargeback.

  • bad work, worse customer service
    I ordered a wooden floor and the fitters came round to install it. The fitters damaged by walls in the process and installed the floor uneven and damaged. When I complained to them, they just left leaving me with an unfinished floor. I phoned the companies office to complain but they wouldn't listen and told me that if I had a problem to speak to trading standards. After several tried I managed to speak to the company owner. He told me that if I didn't stop complaining that he would 'come find me and shut me up'. I told the police, trading standards and BBC watchdog about this. Please, don't go what I went through - do use this rouge trading company that threatens you and doesn't do anything close to what you paid for.

    Fantastic service. Flooring ordered on 4 January 2010 & delivered on 13 January 2010, the date we requested. Flooringsupplies.co.uk were very efficient with placing the order, having 250 or so orders to process after the Christmas & New Year break. I received documentation promptly on-line. Delivery was great. They phoned the previous day to ask if I would like delivery am or pm & acknowledged the times in the day that I had already said would not be convenient. Delivery time was set between 10.30am -12.00 noon. On the day of delivery I received a call at about 10.30am to say that there had been a delay and that the delivery van wouldn't be with us until about 1.30pm. The van arrived at 1.15pm. Even though there was a slight delay it caused no problem as we were informed in plenty of time & the actual delivery time was spot on. The flooring packs delivered were all clean and undamaged, haven't opened any yet, but everything looks positive. Well done to everyone concerned with flooringsupplies.co.uk. I am a very satisfied customer and would strongly recommend this company to others.

    It all started out well. A good well priced product on an easy to use website. A day after placing our order we were informed that they had not stock of what we were after. Not a problem as there were other bits of flooring we liked. After requesting a delivery date i took a day off work and waiting with anticipation for my flooring to arrive. I shouldn't have bothered. Nothing turned up and i was not contacted to even acknowledge that nothing would be turning up. I then emailed the Sales Manager Michael Barnes. TO his credit he was helpful and rearranged the date and also gave me a deal on the skirting by way of compensation. With a new date set i took another day off. My flooring arrived early afternoon. As soon and the guy was gone did i realise that my skirting was not on the invoice nor had it been included. Another call to Michael Barnes who again was very helpful. He rearranged the delivery for the Thursday. This time it arrived. At this point i was only mildly annoyed. Having taken three days unpaid my 'bargain' internet purchase was not so much of a bargain. Fortunatly the local chap i hired to fit it was able to arrive on time the next day. We started fitting. It was only when we opened the second packet of flooring that we realised it was a completely different style to the first packet. Upon opening all 8 packets we find that we have been given half of what we wanted and half of something else. It's worth noting that the exterior on all 8 boxes were labelled as ordered. In addition at least 10% of the flooring pieces showed some damage of the sections where they clip together. So yet again. Another day off, a work man hired and no floor. I did email Michael Barnes the Sales Manager at around 1500 on Friday but this time he failed to respond in his normal prompt manner. For any of you with families out there who are happy to lose the use of their front room for an extra week and a half and don't mind getting damaged incorrect goods i can heartily recommend this company.

  • Unfortunately our experience of flooring supplies was really poor. Despite assurances of stock, we were contacted less than 24 hours before agreed delivery date to advise that product was not in country! Customer services were poor, and the next day delivery option is a myth - they will deliver once a week to your area. Once we recieved the order, insufficient underlay was included. I wouldnt use these suppliers again.....
