A study by the RSPB has revealed that home improvements are having a detrimental effect on the UK's swift population.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CSS), charged with discovering London's most considerate builder, has unvealed Andy Lock as it's winner for 2009.

Building regulations in the UK are set to be changed in October this year to improve the energy efficiency of new build and refurbished homes.
