Abingdon Builders' Merchant into administration
A builder's merchant in Abingdon, Oxfordshire has gone into administration and shut down its flagship branch in Slough. The Southern Brick and Tile company, which employs 25 people at its Abingodon base, has called in Vantis who hope to find a buyer within 7 days. A spokesperson for the administrators blamed the lack of stability in the housing market for poor sales.

26 Post Offices to be closed in Scotland
26 post offices are to be closed in Scotland and 32 are to be downgraded it has been announced. In a further blow to the ailing British instituation, branches across southern Scotland, Lothian and parts of Edinburgh are set to lick their last stamps over the coming months.
